AMERICAN EGG BOARD

FELLOWSHIP FOR CULINARY WRITING

on the creative use of eggs in cooking and/or baking

The American Egg Board is pleased to fund a culinary writing fellowship to support the work of food writers during residency at the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow.

American Egg Board

American Egg Board (AEB) represents The incredible edible eggÔ on behalf of egg producers throughout the continental United States. Established through a commodity marketing order, AEB is charged with conducting egg research, education, advertising and promotion programs. AEB is overseen by a Board of egg producers and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and AEB programs are conducted for all U.S. citizens. AEB programs address consumers of all ages and all education and income levels and cover the composition, natural nutrition, functional properties, versatility, convenience and economy of eggs as well as preparation and food safety instructions. For further information on AEB or eggs, choose a topic from the home page.

Writer’s Colony at Dairy Hollow

The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow is the only writers’ colony in the world that recognizes culinary writing, both fiction and non-fiction, as a legitimate writing genre. In Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the non-profit creative refuge has a state-of-the-art culinary suite specifically designed to support food writing. Located at the site of the former Dairy Hollow House country inn, the Colony provides for all basic needs as well as the special needs of writers, including quiet and the inspiration to be garnered from an eclectic community and many natural resources. For further information on the Writers’ Colony, visit www.writerscolony.org.
